Adventurer of Vana'Diel

[The communicator comes to life and the viewers are greeted to Catpaw, as a human, again; while wearing a light purple yukata top lined with dark purple. There's a wave to the camera.]

Well, I wasn't expecting to become a Hume again and this time I can't seem to use my magic. I just hope I'll get it back before Brenner with Riku and everyone else who's attending.

[There's a quick worried expression before it changes to a sigh.]

[A gesture to the communicator, since she doesn't know what to call this, but her expression brightens.]

So! Normally around this time of year, Vana'Diel has Summerfest. Which is a event that last for a few weeks, with gold fishing with these paper fans and tons of firewarks that go off at night!

[Whoops! She said firewarks instead of fireworks and the not-a-Mithra flusters a bit before exclaiming.]

I mean fire--!

[Her 30 seconds are up.]

Since its Saint Guffen's day or so I think because most Vana'Diel holidays last for a week or a month instead of a day. I think I got this right where you exchange words of gratitude.

So, I want to thank you Kevas for looking after me, when times got tough. I wish there was more I could repay you.



I think I'm going to go explore the maze and see if I can find anything after I track down the last two articles of my clothing.

[There's a sound of Cat flopping down on to her bed, clicking on the device.]

I'm glad that chaos is over with, even though my Joyeuse and shield disappeared again. At least I don't have to go hunt down that Kraken monster in Sea Serpants Grotto again.

Is it bad that I'm looking foreward to another invasion? Its just that I've been trained to expect these kind of things from beastmen with Besiege and Campaign.

[She paws around for something.]

Ah~ There it is. How many people used these feathers? I didn't use mine, although its inscription that came with it sort of reminded me of something that I've overheard back in Vana'Diel.

There's a place called Dynamis, created by the Avatar of Dreams, Diabolos. It is pretty much a... how would I say? A dreamworld or more like a nightmare version of a city that is overruled by beastmen and statues of the same thing. I've only been to Dynamis Jeuno, but each area has some connection with the Shadowlord's past...

[She sounds a bit sad suddenly.]

I got to witness what happened that happened about 20 years ago by touching Magicite that was found in the depths of Castle Oztroja, Davoi and Beadeaux. A Galka named Raogrimm was out on a excavation in Xarcabard with a Hume female named Cornelia, a Hume male named Ulrich, a Mithra named Rabntah, a Taru named Iru-Kuiru, and an Elvaan male named Francmage. Raogrimm, Ulrich & Cornelia were away from the group and for some unexplained reason -- even though I think it was because of the conflict between Humes and Galkas in Bastok -- Ulrich attacked Raogrimm, but Cornelia threw herself in the way and took the blade. Ulrich ran to inform the rest of the group but they never found Raogrimm and Cornelia. I think because of this, Raogrimm's sadness and anger transformed him in to the Shadowlord.

[She's rambling and she notices this.]

...Ah, I'm sorry, I got off track with what I was talking about! Inside Dynamis, the monsters there contain Relic armor and items needed to process a legendary weapon. Once someone manages to pay off the debt for the weapon, they have to fight a possessed weapon inside Dynamis Xarcabard, I think. I haven't got a chance to acquire the base for Excalibur... For a Paladin, they can get Aegis, a shield. Its interesting to see something like that turned in to a feather. I know during Besiege, there are items that are handed out which have magicial properities to prevent taking physical or magical damage for a brief amount of time; kind of similiar to Stoneskin, Blink or Utsusemi.

[There's a small yawn.]
