[Not long after the device is turned on, the sound of a fishing reel being casted in to the water. She wasn't in the caves this time and the Mithra sounds a lot better than her previous post.]

Well, since everyone has been asking questions lately... I'm curious if we're on an ocean or a sea, although that answer is probably in the library, knowing my luck.

[A small laugh from her.]

At least we don't have mon-- [A pause, she's glancing over the railing for a moment.] --sters trying to crawl on board. I hope I don't fish one up either. I'm not in the proper armor for a fight.

If there was some horrible beast that lurked underwater, it doesn't sound as threatening if its an ocean horror opposed to a sea horror.

Its not like I haven't encountered one before, during my travels. I had one sneak up right behind me without realizing it and the next thing I know, I'm knocked off my feet and fighting to not get pulled in by those tentacles and devoured by that grinning face! I got my revenge though with some help from my fellow linkshell companions, but didn't find that 'legendary' club that some mages talked about it having. Oh well, its not like I needed it.

[Just before the communicator is turned off, Cat can be heard humming a song from her world.]

Current Mood: calm

[Well, look at this. The Mithra was able to figure out how to get the video function working~ You can see her ears flickering about and a curious expression.]

Just what is this? Huh?

[Her attention is drawn to the flashing red light and her expression turns to a panicked one.]

Oh... no... BOMB!

[The view is suddenly launched in to Cat's bathroom and the door is slammed behind it. The recording ends.]

Current Mood: panicked

[As the communicator comes to life, there's pounding on the door's surface and jiggling of a doorknob.]

Gargh! I can't get in my room! I don't want to have another night sleeping in or on luggage either.

[There's more pounding before there's a groan and she gives up, sitting down on the ground, mumbling to herself.]

I wish I still had my pick locks from when I was a thief. Could probably get in there like that time in Sea Serpent's Grotto.

[She starts to toss her communicator up and down before noticing its on.]

AH! When did you turn on?! Uh... well... I guess you already know that I'm locked out. I thought I could get in by myself but I can't and I didn't want to bother any of the crew for something so stupid.

Current Mood: annoyed

[The Mithra turns on the communicator and puts it down, she's busy working on a sowing project.]

Sorry that I haven't been around too much, I've been busy working on my cloth skill and presents since the Starlight Celebration has already started, I think.

I just hope everything will -- Tequila! Get out of there! That isn't for you!

[She quickly goes to get the raccoon who's chittering at being removed from his spot. The mage moves back to the com with Tequila with her, resuming sowing.]

Anyway~ Is there going to be some event with prizes? I know there was this magicial furniture that would give you a present everyday until the celebration was over with! I think the Smilebringers had something to do with that, but I can't really remember. Oh wait, I was a Smilebringer one year to hand out presents to the young Humes, Elvaans, Mithras, Tarutaru and Galkas! Usually it was food or fireworks. I miss the adorable snowmen that would stand next to the trees I got from completing the quest in each nation -- Owch!

[She pauses momentarily to nurse her finger from pricking it on a needle.]

I hate to think how the cloth craft guild managed to do this without synthesis crystals. I should probably focus on the task at hand instead of talking away!

[She turns off the com.]

I'm not liking the sounds of things going on here. As much as this is making think back on difficult times, we have to find a way to get rid of whatever is killing other people here.

I think I can use my magic to get by, but I don't know for how long and I'm not a White Mage or a Summoner to use the same magic on anyone else. Sorry, but I might need a weapon as well. I'm good with a sword, knife or a club. I'll return it once I'm done with it, you have my word.

Kevas, I know you won't approve of this but I have to try.

Kevas, how's your leg? Do you want me to drop by with some food? I'll grab something for Tequila as well.

Ah, thank you again Amu for catching me.

[She's really grateful for that. Her voice seems to take a change of tone, like she's thinking.]

I'm surprised there's so many crew members on board. The boats back in Vana'Diel only had like 3 crew members on board but others waiting at the dock. Anyone on board would have to defend themselves from crabs, pugils, skeleton pirates and the odd Sea Horror. Ugh! I hate that thing! I'm glad its not on this ship.

One time, I was on a ship bound to Mhaura or Selbina; I can't remember, I was with my friend Sages. We were hunting for some pirates but that slimy Kraken managed to get on board and I didn't notice it was behind me. Sages was freaking out and pointing behind me, so I turned and saw that wicked smile it has where all the tenacles connect! I paniced and ran around the boat, trying to avoid getting knocked unconcious and dragged in to the sea or ocean! Luckily we were docking so the crew managed to save me and Sages too.

Ah, I didn't mean to ramble on about a story. Sorry!

[There's a small groan, as if someone was just waking up as she grabs for her device and turns it on.]

...Hn? Why is there a weird smell...?

[There's a small yawn and stretch, her hand hitting a hilt of a sword before a groaning noise is heard in the background.]

What's this? ...Joyeuse? I got my Joyeuse back and my shield too!

[There's a small noise of her getting up and exiting her room.]

Where is -- Undead!? These don't look like Skeletons, Formors, Corses or Ghosts... They do look similiar to Qutrub in Aht Urghan.

[Uh oh! She caught their attention!]

...I guess running is out of the question. Heh~ Feel the burn of my forged blade! Enfire!

[Several other magic spells could be heard. Stoneskin taking its place, followed by Protect and Shell IV, Haste, Refresh and Shock Spikes.]

C'mon! I've been waiting for this!

AH!

[There's a sound of her sputtering and a chime of her magic being heard, with its inchantation.]

You shall be as quiet as a--blub!

[Her spell is interrupted by the device. There's a sound of her foot stomping the floor, she's fuming.]

Stop fast casting Water on me! Is it because I didn't find any Water Elementals!? Its almost as bad as that Imp that suddenly popped out of the swamp in Caedarva Mire!

Ah~ Being outside and able to explore has been really refreshing! I can't seem to get swimming down and I've been trying for days! [You could hear her pout but trying to keep positive.]

Oh! I know this is late and all, but I've never been on a small boat before coming on shore. It was always large cargo ships or a pirate ship with ghosts... I am not kidding!

Um... I didn't think I'd have some fame already accounted for this place, because I've never been here and haven't done any quests. So, I find it a bit weird to be able to get things for free when everything usually requires gil. Oh well~ I got a few things, even if this camera is very different from home. No light crystal for the flash. Also, there was these things called "Ocelots" but they look similiar to a Coeurl.

Maybe sometime, we should have a giant firewark -- erm, firework display at night! Even though I'm starting to run low, I'll have to get more from my yukata.

[Cat's voice seems happy and cheery as she starts to speak.]

I got to meet some more people as we partied up to go explore this interesting temple with a strange apparatus. There was fireworks, kind of like the ones I have on me, but it CHASED us! Then Poroggo's started to pop up! Well, they weren't exactly Poroggo's because they were missing their lil caps and staffs, so I guess they're the minions? Ah, oh well~

Kevas, I hope the Cure helped! Also, I'm sorry to those I accidentally scared with shrieking or suddenly gave a hug!

[Cat thinks she turned off the com but it catches this lil murmur from her, sounding a bit sad as she lifts up something in the background. Its the Corsage that Wil gave to her.]

He does love me. I know he does... Wil... I want to go home and be with you and my friends.

Well, I've learnt a bit more about this layout. The longest boat ride I've ever been on was the trip from Selbina to Mhaura then to Whitegate and Nashmau. It didn't help the boat got attacked by pirates on the way to Mhaura and this giant fish thing showed up on the boat to Whitegate! I would have been Mithra fish food!

Oh! I totally got distracted from what I wanted to originally do.

Baij! I got some fireworks that I can give you! Or anyone else who's interested. ...I'm glad I didn't write firewarks, that would have been embarassing.

Oh! I understand all these days now. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday... but... This is week is missing a day! How can all of you manage to not get thrown off?! This is so confusing...

I'm still looking for that map too... Ah, um... Damn... Someone of the crew, could you tell me where my 'key items' and all my maps went?
