[There's some flailing and sputtering, along with some concerned chittering from Tequila.]

Ugh! Again?!

[After more fussing and drying off, the Mithra speaks again.]

Oh... That reminds me. Jack, are you available?

GAH! Curse this thing with casting water on me constantly!

[Ding! Elevator~]

Alright. I'm on my way.

Alright, I'll be waiting!

[There's a small chitter from Tequila and the door closing with her foot-steps.]

[Elevator rides are kinda boring when you're alone. Jack's fidgeting.]

Was that Tequila just now? Ah.. what is Tequila again..?

Yes, he was wondering where I was going and if I was going to be back soon.

I believe Kevas said he was a raccoon.

[She was already waiting by the elevators.]

[Ding! Doors opening~]

Raccoon. Wow. Does he bite or anything? I've never heard of one being kept as a pet before.

[She gave a wave to Jack and proceeded to step inside the elevator.]

Not really, unless he doesn't like someone. Kevas got him as a present from the captain, I think.

[Jack is kinda wow about all this. He puts the comm away.]

I know I shouldn't be surprised about all this, after everything I've seen since I came on board. But I still am.

[He smiles faintly.]

Race track was on deck 20 right?

I'm not really surprised, but then again I'm not from what most people call 'normal'.

[She scratched the back of her head.]

[Jack mashes the button for floor twenty. Ding! The doors close~]

Nothing here is, really. Are there people like me where you're from or are us humans strange to you?

Humans? Oh! You mean Humes! Yes, there are, mostly in the nation of Bastok. I grew up there even though majority of Mithras are from Windurst and Kazham. There's also Tarutaru, they're very short.

[She pointed to about the shin region.]

Then there's Elvaans, which are very tall and have pointy ears. Finally, there's the Galkas which look male but supposely don't have any gender, which never made much sens-... Uh, I'm sorry! I'm rambling!

No, no. Keep going. This is interesting. I don't know any of these... [He pauses to find the right word.] Races? Species?

Humans are pretty much it where I'm from. I mean, there's animals and all but we're the only ones like us.

Race sounds about right. Species is used for classifying monsters, well if you're a scholar or a beastmaster.

[She brought a finger up to her lips, her tail swishing to and fro.]

Oh? That's very surprising, but in a way expected. There's alot of Humes on board and a few Elvaans too. There was another Mithra at one point, I don't know where she went to.

[Jack nods. Right about then the elevator slows to a halt and the doors open.]

Come to think of it, I have seen a few long eared people around. Haven't talked to any of them though.

[He shrugs and steps out of the lift.]

I've been pretty quiet I guess. Though apparently I had a run in with Herz that I don't remember... I'm still trying to work that one out.

[She blinks.]

You were hurt?!

[Way to be oblivious Cat. The mage stepped out of the elevator and quickly casted Cure on him.]

[Jack stops, looking around rather surprised.]

W-what? What did you just do?!

[Sure he feels better and all, but healing doesn't happen like that where he's from.]

I just casted Cure, it should help with the pain and your injuries. I'm not exactly a White Mage, but I'm close to one.

[She moved ahead with a small grin before looking around the race track.]

Wow~ This looks different than the chocobo race track back in Vana'Diel.

[Jack scratches the back of his head. The stunned expression remains fixed on his features and it's a second or two before he registers that it's time to move forwards and stop gaping.

Catpaw's words are barely registered.]

Huh. Yeah I... wait. What's a choco-- whatever you just said?

[She paused as she approached the race console.]

A chocobo? They're used for transportation and -- Oh!

[She pressed a button that summoned that bird. It kweh-ed and the Mithra lit up and ran over.]

This is a chocobo! You're a beauty~ I wonder how fast you can go.

[Jack's just going to stand still and stare. He's still adjusting to this whole 'other worlds' thing. Besides, there' a cat-person being all excited about a giant bird. How the hell is a guy meant to react to that?]

It's like a big... chicken. Emu. Thing.

[He really needs to start sleeping more.]

[She gave a small chuckle before petting the chocobo more.]

Its a chocobo, its not like a cockatice or the rare birds you can find in Cape Terrigan. They're usually friendly unless you treat them badly.

[She glanced over her shoulder.]

Oh, are you going to call for your car?

[Jack steps up to where Catpaw is, cautious of the bird and not really sure what to do next.]

I'm not entirely sure on how this works. Press a button and it's there or..?

I think so. That's what I did, they must have used some summoning magic or something to have them appear so fast.

[She looked happy and her tail swished constantly.]

Maybe we should race! You in your car and me on the chocobo.

Race?

[He looks to the track, checking it out and genuinely contemplating the offer. Jack shrugs a shoulder and mashes the required button. Vroom. A race car appears. It looks like it's made for street racing.

Jack's jaw falls open.]

Whoa. That's-- really nice.

[Forget the chocobo, the car has his attention now.]

You know, that might be fun. Sure.

[She pauses once the car appears and she steps over to investigate. Poking the metal sides.]

So this is a car? Its weird looking.

[Jack nods and runs a hand along the top of the door. He's pretty impressed with the vehicle he got.]

I guess they would be to someone that hasn't seen one before. It's been a while since I've gone for a proper drive. Do you think your bird can keep up though? Cars go pretty fast.

[She gives a nod.]

They are quite fast, but can't out run a airship.

[She moved back over to the chocobo and it knelt down for her to jump on.]
