Keeeeeeeeeeeevas! I haven't seen you in a while, I hope you didn't disappear and leave Tequila behind again.

[You could almost hear her pouting but the Mithra's voice picks up to a more excited tone.]

Oh! We should do a Chocobo race or just ride them around the deck if no one is up for racing!

[A pause.]

Uh, that's open to anyone who wants to come. Incase I wasn't clear there. Eh-hehe...

[It leans its head down, like it wants to be petted.]

Ah, it seems to like you.

[The Mithra manages to sit herself up and cast cure on herself.]

Erm...

*Marco carefully pets the Chocobo's head, like one would pet a horse. Since it doesn't seem to be attacking, he relaxes*

Nice, uh, chocobo.

[A happy wark from the black bird and nuzzles in for more.]

I think it wants you to be its rider.

[She grabs for her communicator before standing.]

*Marco continues petting the birdy and eyes it*

Well, can't be odder than riding a lobster.
But how do I get up on it? Do I get it to kneel or something?

A lobster?

[She looks confused for a moment before shaking her head.]

It'll kneel for you to get on.

[She steps closer and indicates to the Chocobo before it kneels down.]

You can grab the reins and steer in the saddle.

On the island.

*He figures that should explain it, since there were lobsters all over the damned island.
Marco nods a bit and carefully mounts the chocobo and takes the reins*

So we're going to race?

Ah. Oh, yes!

[There's a quick nod before summoning another Chocobo, instantly hoisting herself up. She doesn't know why she picked a red one. She leads it over to the race line as the environment changes.]

I never really did a race with another person before, to be honest.

Well, I've never done a race on a bird before, so I guess we're even.

*Marco leads the birdy over to the start line. He's never ridden a horse, but he rode that lobster and the 'controls' are easy enough. Hopefully the bird knows more of what to do than he does*

[Both of the Chocobos are waiting for the signal to start racing. They knew what to do, all they really had to do was either cheer them on or tell them to slow down incase things get crazy.]

Heh. You too.

*Marco does not know the signal to start racing, so he waits along with the birds*

[Well, there's most likely a sign post with the three colors on a normal race track. As the green hits, both Chocobos rocket off.

Cat leans down and foreward on her Chocobo, making sure she could still see where to go. Who was in the lead?]

*Marco gasps a bit as the chocobos start running. He grips the reigns tightly and leans forward like Cat does. He's not really sure why its needed, but that's how you see people do it when racing horses, so it must be for a reason.*

[Both Chocobos turned a corner, neck in neck with each other.]

Having fun yet?!

[She had to raise her voice so she could be heard.]

*Marco laughs and shouts back at her*

This is great!

[She only grins and cheers on her chocobo to surpass Marco's. There's a kweh and it inches foreward.]

*Marco's birdy is not winning! This cannot be. He snaps the reigns and mimics what Cat did, driving his to move faster as well. He laughs as it takes the lead...but doesn't have much of a grasp of understanding when to sprint or slow down, so will probably end up running his down before they reach the finish line at this pace*

[Awww, poor Marco! The Mithra eased up with wearing hers out but manages to cross the finish line. She sits back and pats her Chocobo a bit, purring.]

Good job.

[She glanced over her shoulder.]

Is everything okay back there?

*Oh noes birdy, why did you stop? D:
Marco tries to nudge it forward more, but the chocobo eventually refuses to move anymore and just sits down, ruffling its feathers. Marco sighs, grumbles a bit, and gets off*

I think I did something wrong.

[She dismounted her Chocobo and stepped over. Glancing over the black one.]

I think you pushed it too hard, but it'll be fine with some rest.

...Oh.

*He remembered games where that was needed, and why that was part of why he preferred the games where you raced cars*

I'll try to remember that next time.

[There's a pat on Marco's shoulder.]

Don't worry, its not like its mad at you for it.

[Although her chocobo comes over and nuzzles against her.]

Ah, you look like you want to try something else?

Its not?

*Cause he thinks it certainly has the right to b--oh, wait, its a hologram or something, isn't? Probably can't feel anyway.*

Yeah, but its probably best to wait till later for that.

It looks happy for being able to run like that. Some Chocobos are different than others, like people.

[There was another pat to the Chocobo, tilting her head in curiousity.]

Oh? How come?

*He laughs*

I was never really good at driving drunk. Racing drunk just sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.

That does sound like a bad idea.

[There's a blink and a concerned look on her face.]
